Nature showed us its scary side. We were completely shut out from the farm for 3 months because of fires. This was the first image we got as the fires came up the valley and devoured our north side trees :(

One of our biggest trees.. the redwood suck in the flames, but they kept going till the tree had to be brought down.

Finally the fire trucks arrived..
Cleaning up ground fires.. The fire stopped in August.. we kept finding underground fires into November.
But redwoods have see this before.. nature restarts
We were also happy for all the work through spring we had put in for keeping the meadows totally clean.. Many many days of it! The fire trucks had a safe place to stop with no grass.
